The event to introduce the Albanian version of the book "Contemplations for Just Peace" by the poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain at the Mediterranean University in Albania witnessed a significant presence of Arab diplomatic missions in Albania, including ambassadors and charge d'affaires from several countries, such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Algeria, and Libya. Representatives from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and various civil society organizations, academics, students, and several attendees took the opportunity to share a few words, including Dr. Anastas Angjeli, the Founder and Honorary President of the Mediterranean University in Albania and Chairman of the Committee of the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chair for Just Peace at the University. Dr. Artemis Malo, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania for European Affairs, Dr. Adrian Civici, the President of the Mediterranean University in Albania, and Dr. Arbin Cici, the Deputy President of the University and the Director of the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chair for Just Peace.   The task of translating the book "Contemplations for Just Peace" by the poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain was undertaken by Dr. Ermir Gjeniçi, who is one of the foremost experts in Arabic language, culture, philosophy, and Arab history in Albania. He emphasized the importance of the book and the message it conveys to the public, especially in Albania, the Mediterranean region, the Middle East, and the world as a whole.

Wish and Will:   On his part, Dr. Arbin Cici, the Director of the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chair for Just Peace and the Deputy President of the Mediterranean University in Albania, stated, "No matter how deep our differences and disparities may be, they remain superficial. What makes us more alike than different is our love for humanity, family, community, and the world we live in. What unites us is the desire and determination to build a future characterized by peace, progress, and prosperity for all. Just peace is the key word and guiding principle for such a future."   He added, "The author of this exceptional and rare book for peace, the poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain, is the leader of this important mission. Since the beginning of his life's mission, he has courageously faced extremely challenging times and continues to confront the contemporary challenges of our world, marked by tensions and security issues in Europe, the Mediterranean region, and all around the world."   Arbin Cici emphasized that “the language and the content of Abdulaziz Albabtain's book flow in parallel with the mission of nurturing just peace.”

Important Position:   Dr. Arbin Cici continued, "Therefore, society, institutions, universities, media, political, economic, and cultural entities must take their important role in this mission before it's too late, to break down the walls of differences and disparities and build bridges of harmony between civilizations, cultures, heritages, nations, countries, communities, and all people with their beliefs and races, especially among the youth and generations worldwide."   He concluded, "The Mediterranean University of Albania has become a part of this noble goal through the establishment of the 'Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chair for Just Peace,' thanks to the memorandum of understanding signed in June 2022 between the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation and the Mediterranean University."
