An official delegation from Yerevan State University in Armenia visited the State of Kuwait to award the honorary doctorate to the Chairman of Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation, the eminent poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain, renowned as the "Man of Culture and Peace,". The ceremony took place at his Diwaniya and was attended by a distinguished gathering of public figures and individuals with a keen interest in cultural affairs. This tribute was a recognition of Albabtain's distinguished local, Arab, and global contributions in the fields of philanthropy, humanitarianism, culture, and education.

In an unprecedented event, considered the first of its kind, the honoree, Mr. Albabtain, was recognized in his homeland by a prestigious institution like Yerevan State University in Armenia. The university delegation included Professor Dr. Hovhannis Hovhannisyan, the Rector of Yerevan State University; Dr. Ruben Melkonyan, the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Yerevan State University; Dr. Haik Kocharian, the Head of the Chair of Arabic Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Yerevan State University; Dr. Vahé Hakobyan, a member of the Scientific Council; and Dr. Mikayel Hovhannisyan, also a member of the Scientific Council.

According to the official website of Yerevan State University, the decision to confer this prestigious honorary degree, which is granted to influential global figures with a significant impact on life, was made by the University's Scientific Council. It was based on Article 49, Section 7 of the University Council's Charter and in accordance with Section 7 of the Council's Regulations. The decision was also in line with the provisions of the Regulations on Honorary Titles and Awards. The decision was made to honor poet Abdulaziz Albabtain, known as "A Man of Culture and Peace," in recognition of his philanthropic, cultural, and humanitarian work, his efforts to promote the global peace agenda, and his effective collaboration with the university in all its academic activities and support for professional activities within it.

On this occasion, poet Abdulaziz Albabtain, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation, remarked, "The honor bestowed upon me by Yerevan State University in Armenia, in my homeland, is dear to my heart. I will cherish it with great pride and honor. I do not view it merely as a certificate to adorn my collection but rather as a message... a message that signifies that an individual's life is defined by their ability to give without expecting anything in return, and it also signifies the achievement of accomplishments that benefit those around them, each according to their capacities, to serve societies in the most critical areas... education, culture, and aiding humanity by inspiring individuals to engage in humanitarian and cultural work and encouraging institutions to contribute to it."

"I also affirm that this honor, along with other honors I have received throughout my cultural journey, is a tribute to my beloved country, Kuwait, which has taken the initiative to engage in humanitarian endeavors across the globe. It is a tribute to the Kuwaiti people, and it is also a tribute to all intellectuals, writers, thinkers, poets, and advocates of just peace in this world." He added.

Abdulaziz Albabtain expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Yerevan State University, its Rector, academic council, professors, and administration for conferring upon him the honorary doctorate and for celebrating this occasion in his Diwaniya. He prayed to God for success for all.
