Dr. Lana Mamkegh

She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Jordan in 1992, followed by a Master's degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the same university in 1996. She later earned her Ph.D. in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Jordan in 2002.

A Jordanian politician, media figure, university professor, and writer.

One of the pioneers in Jordanian television and radio journalism, with teaching experience at various universities.

She has extensive experience in the media field, having written a weekly column in Al-Rai newspaper since 1986.

She contributes to several Jordanian and Arab magazines.

Authored dramatic texts for legal awareness on Jordanian radio.

Delivered lectures on media issues and communication skills at various cultural centers.

Professional Experience:

She served as the Minister of Culture in Jordan starting from August 21, 2013.

Faculty member at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Petra University.

Taught at the Faculty of Arts, Al-Isra University, Amman.

Member of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan in 2010.

Member of the Higher Education Council from 2007 to 2009.

Former member of the coordinating body of the "Women's Affairs Committee" under the Arab Labor Organization.

Member of the Selection Committee for the Jordanian Cultural Capital in 2007.

Member of the Audio-Visual Publications Monitoring Committee in 1997.
