Born in Dubai, 1964.

Obtained a Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the United Arab Emirates University in 1988.

Obtained a Master's degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Jordan in 1992.

Holds a Ph.D. in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Jordan in 1996.

Appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Arabic Language at the United Arab Emirates University in 1996, then Associate Professor in 2007.

Vice Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University in 1991.

Headed the working team responsible for developing a comprehensive vision for the Educational Center for Arabic Language under the Arab Education Office for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, 2005 - 2006.

Member of the Cultural Committee for the National Encyclopedia of Creativity in the United Arab Emirates.

Writes a weekly article in the Issues and Opinions section of Al-Bayan newspaper in the United Arab Emirates.

Member of the Advisory Board for the Club of Creativity at the United Arab Emirates University from 1999 - 2005.

Member of the judging panel for the Distinguished Teacher Award in the Hamdan bin Rashid Award.

Member of the committee for the authorship of Arabic language books for the primary stage.

Member of the editorial board of the “Literary Affairs” magazine issued by the Union of Writers and Authors in the United Arab Emirates.
