Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain receives the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Peter Maurer, and extends an invitation to attend the World Peace Conference at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

The Chairman of the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation received Peter Maurer, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and the accompanying delegation led by the Regional Director based in Kuwait, Yahya Al-Olayebi. The meeting took place yesterday, Monday, at Albabtain Central Library for Arabic Poetry.
During the meeting, Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain discussed his cultural journey, which he dedicated to promoting just peace among nations in recent years. He highlighted the activities carried out by the Foundation to disseminate a culture of peace at the highest levels, including the proposal he announced from the United Nations platform to teach the curriculum of just peace worldwide, which was approved by the United Nations General Assembly. Albabtain emphasized the humanitarian aspect of the work conducted by the International Committee of the Red Cross, which aligns with the noble goals pursued by the Foundation.
Albabtain extended an invitation to Peter Maurer to attend the World Forum for the Culture of Peace, organized by the Foundation at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands, on June 13, 2019.
In response, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Peter Maurer, accepted the invitation and expressed his readiness to deliver a peace message on the occasion. He also announced that joint programs focused on the culture of peace would be developed in collaboration with the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation.
In addition, Maurer visited Albabtain Academy for Arabic Poetry and was briefed on the free Arabic language courses offered to non-native speakers, specifically targeting foreign diplomats residing in Kuwait.
