The Second Poetry Evening Ignites the Hearts of the Audience and Honours the Memory of the Late Abdulaziz Albabtain
Poets From Across the Arab World Weave their Verses, Blending Nostalgia, Elegy, and Beauty

As part of the activities of the nineteenth edition of the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation Poetic Creativity Awards Ceremonies, the second poetry evening witnessed the participation of a select group of Arab poets who delivered verses that ranged from elegies to love, calls, and humanitarian messages, drawing significant audience engagement.

• Rawdha Al-Hajj (Sudan)

• Sumaya Mihannesh (Algeria)

• Dr. Faleh bin Taflah (Kuwait)

• Mohammed Al-Jalwah (Saudi Arabia)

• Nabīlah Ḥammānī (Morocco)

• Heba El-Feqi (Egypt)

The poems were marked by their poignant atmosphere, soaring through the realms of romanticism, imagery of places, addressing humanity, and touching the hearts of the audience.

In the opening, poet Ahmed Shalabi (Egypt) presented two poems: the first titled "The Wind Does Not Come with Hind," and the second titled "The Passing Stranger."

Poet Jasser Al-Bazour (Jordan) captivated the audience with his mastery of language, delivering three poignant poems. The first was titled "To the Living on the Pages of the Dead," followed by "Distilled Metaphors," and concluding with "A Meeting in the Beyond."

Poet Muhammed Al-Jalwah (Saudi Arabia) moved the audience with heartfelt elegies dedicated to the late poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain. One of his powerful poems was titled "A Stunning Question for Loved Ones."

Poet Dr. Faleh bin Taflah Al-Ajmi, known for his heartfelt poetry, captivated the audience with an elegy titled "A Dirge for a Noble Arab Knight," dedicated to the memory of the late poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain. The poem was a heartfelt tribute, addressing Saud Albabtain, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, with sincere prayers and compassion.

The Algerian poetess, Sumaya Mihannesh, wove a unique floral scent through her poetry, filled with lavish language and words imbued with poetic charm and a distinct aesthetic sensibility, in her piece "Questions in Love."

The Moroccan poetess, Nabīlah Ḥammānī, began with elegant and humane language, addressing her letters and the shadows of their meanings through her poem "Free as Lions." She took the audience on a journey, touching upon the plight of Gaza and its children.

The Egyptian poetess, Heba Al-Feqi, shone with the beauty of her words and creative expression through her poem titled "A Tale of the Branches of the Soul".

The poetry evening reflected a rich artistic and aesthetic diversity, reaffirming once again that poetry continues to hold its place as a powerful medium capable of touching hearts and reviving both artistic and human values.
