As part of the collaboration between Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation and Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland, United Kingdom, the Foundation has awarded two doctoral research grants under the title "Albabtain Grants for Outstanding Students in Peace and Diplomacy Studies." These research grants have been awarded to a female student from the Arab world and a female student from Europe, as proposed by the Doctoral Research Management in the Graduate Program of Diplomacy.
The Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain, stated "This event is a highly significant milestone in the history of the Foundation's collaboration with universities around the world. It represents a qualitative addition to the Foundation's activities in partnership with prestigious universities." He recalled the support provided to the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chair for the Arabic Language at the University of Oxford, the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chair for Master's Studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation Professorship for Arab Culture at Leiden University. He also highlighted the numerous scholarships awarded to refugee students in Europe, particularly in medical studies at the University of Lisbon in Portugal, which is overseen and supported by former President of Portugal, Jorge Sampaio. This initiative has been in operation since 2015, under the framework of the Rapid Response Mechanism for Higher Education in Crises, in collaboration with the United Nations.
