Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation has announced the postponement of the 13th Arab Poetry Spring Festival, which the Foundation has traditionally held in March of each year. This decision comes as a result of the global health conditions, as the festival usually involves participants and guests from both within and outside Kuwait.
Mr. Abdulrahman Khaled Albabtain, the Secretary-General of the Foundation, stated that the next date for the festival has not been determined yet, in line with the precautionary measures being followed worldwide.
The Arab Poetry Spring Festival was initially scheduled to take place at the end of March, celebrating the release of the Foundation's new encyclopedia titled "Albabtain Encyclopedia for Arab Poets in the Era of States and Emirates." This comprehensive work spans 25 volumes and includes around ten thousand poets from the period between 1258 and 1800 AD.
The festival was also set to honor the poets Ibn Sanaa Al-Mulk (1155/1211 CE) and Ibn Maleek Al-Hamawi (1436/1512 CE).
