Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation has accomplished its third poetic encyclopaedia, which is titled "Albabtain Encyclopaedia for Arab Poets in the Era of States and Emirates," spanning 25 volumes and covering the period from 1258 to 1800 CE.

Mr. Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain emphasized that this encyclopaedia covers a significant historical timeframe, as the period witnessed major transformations across political, social, and cultural dimensions, which in turn had an impact on the nature of poetry and poetic developments.

Albabtain pointed out that this encyclopaedia is an extension of the two previous encyclopaedias published by the Foundation. The first encyclopaedia covered the modern period and was titled "Albabtain Encyclopaedia for Contemporary Arab Poets," while the second encyclopaedia spanned two centuries and was titled "Albabtain Encyclopaedia for Arab Poets in the 19th and 20th Centuries." Therefore, the third encyclopaedia continues the chronological sequence, gradually reaching back to explore the depths of Arabic poetry. This signifies the Foundation's commitment to gradually covering previous historical periods by publishing the names of poets from those eras, along with their biographies and some of their poetic works. These encyclopaedias serve as resources for researchers, scholars, and poetry enthusiasts, while also serving as documentation that preserves the poets and their contributions throughout time.
