Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Kuwait, is organizing the "Poetry Memorization and Recitation" competition for young students.

The Arabic Language General Supervision at the Ministry of Education conducted internal qualifiers among students from its affiliated schools in all educational regions. A total of 36 students successfully passed the qualifiers, and they will compete for the top three positions by reciting poetry before the judging committee on Tuesday, 2nd April 2019, starting at 8:30 AM, at the stage of Albabtain Central Library for Arab Poetry.

After the qualifiers, the judging committee will select the top three winners and announce their names. They will be honored alongside their schools in a special ceremony, where they will receive certificates of appreciation and monetary awards designated for them. Additionally, all participants will be recognized with certificates of appreciation and participation. The date of the ceremony will be announced later, once the qualifiers are concluded.

Mr. Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain, the Chairman of the Foundation, stated that this competition is part of their efforts to promote the significance of Arabic poetry among the younger generations. As poetry is one of the most vital aspects of the Arabic language, it has been a longstanding goal of the Foundation since its establishment. He expressed his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation of the Ministry of Education in conducting this competition, reflecting their commitment and concern for nurturing the younger generations with sound scientific, social, and cultural principles.

Mr. Albabtain emphasized that while our new generations are experiencing cultural openness, which is a positive development, it is essential for them to be equipped with their fundamental cultural heritage.
