Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain offers scholarships to students from Burkina Faso and discusses with Ambassador Abu Bakr Koty the establishment of an Arabic language institute.

         His Excellency the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to the State of Kuwait, Abu Bakr Koty, paid a visit to the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation. He was warmly received by the Chairman of the Foundation, Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain, to discuss avenues of cultural cooperation between Burkina Faso and the Foundation.

         During their meeting, the two parties explored the possibility of establishing an Arabic language institute in Burkina Faso, driven by the urgent desire of the government and its people to learn the Arabic language. The envisioned institute would be regional, encompassing activities for neighboring countries such as Niger, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, and Mali.

         Ambassador Abu Bakr Koty expressed that he found the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation to be the most suitable entity to undertake this educational endeavor, given its renowned support for the Arabic language across the globe.

         In response to the Ambassador's visit and in the spirit of fostering educational opportunities, Mr. Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain offered twenty annual scholarships to students from Burkina Faso in various disciplines at Al-Azhar University in Egypt. These scholarships are part of the Saud Albabtain-Kuwaiti Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies, established in 1974, which sends students from all over the world to study at Al-Azhar University.

         During the meeting held at Albabtain Central Library for Arab Poetry, the Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain, expressed his initial acceptance of the idea of establishing an Arabic language institute. The institute is envisioned to provide Arabic language education at all levels of schooling, starting from primary to intermediate and secondary education. The plan also involves formal recognition and coordination with the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Burkina Faso.

         Following the meeting, Ambassador Abu Bakr Koty provided a statement to the Albabtain Cultural Channel, where he praised Albabtain's efforts in supporting Arab culture. He highlighted that the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation is the trusted entity due to its steadfast focus on scholarly endeavors.
