Under the patronage and presence of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, a graduation ceremony was held this morning to distribute certificates of undergraduate and postgraduate studies to the graduates of Kuwait University for the academic year (2015 - 2016). The ceremony took place at the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Theater in Al-Shuwaikh.

         His Highness's procession arrived at the venue, where he was warmly welcomed by the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education, and the Supreme President of the University, Dr. Mohammed Abdullatif Al-Fares, and the President of Kuwait University, Dr. Hussein Ahmed Al-Ansari, along with senior officials of the university.

         The graduation ceremony was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim, Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Sheikh Faisal Al-Saud Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Deputy of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Minister, Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, along with ministers and senior officials of the state, and high-ranking military, police, and National Guard leaders. The ceremony was also attended by a large crowd of parents of the graduating students and citizens.

         Following that, the former leaders of Kuwait University were honored, and then His Highness, proceeded to distribute certificates to the top graduates. A commemorative gift was also presented to His Highness on this occasion.

         Subsequently, a ceremony was held to confer an honorary doctorate upon His Highness, the Amir of Kuwait, in appreciation and admiration of his wise leadership and significant and influential role in Kuwaiti, Arab, Islamic, and international life, spanning all political, economic, social, and humanitarian levels. This honorary doctorate serves as a recognition of His Highness's immense efforts on both the humanitarian and global levels, which have established Kuwait as a global humanitarian hub. In acknowledgment of his accomplishments, the United Nations has honored His Highness with the title of Humanitarian Leader.
