As part of the activities of the 10th Arab Poetry Spring Festival organized by the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation, a seminar was held yesterday (Monday) about the poet Ya'qub Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed. The seminar featured speakers such as Dr. Abdulmajid Falah who presented a research paper on behalf of Dr. Turki Al-Mughaidh, and poetess Suad Ya'qub Al-Rasheed, the poet's daughter. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Abdullah Al-Muhanna.
Poetess Suad Ya'qub Al-Rasheed, the daughter of the late poet Ya'qub Al-Rasheed, spoke about her father's personal and professional life. She shared insights into how he spent his life surrounded by books and discussed small details of his life. She also highlighted his diplomatic approach in dealing with people, his high moral standards that he instilled in his family, his aversion to lying, and his emphasis on honesty and courage when facing situations. Ms. Suad also talked about his deep love for his wife and children, and the rare affection he showed towards his family.
