Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi received today, Monday, at Carthage Palace, the President of the Albabtain Cultural Foundation, Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Albabtain Cultural Foundation presented to the Head of State an overview of the most important cultural activities that the Foundation intends to undertake in the coming period. Additionally, he expressed the Foundation's endeavor to propose a plan before the world leaders regarding the teaching of a culture of peace in all schools around the globe. This proposal is in conjunction with the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2017.
In response, the President of Tunisia praised the distinguished role played by the Albabtain Cultural Foundation in supporting cultural creativity in the Arab region. He emphasized Tunisia's significant commitment to developing the cultural sector due to its pivotal role in advancing society and fortifying it against the perils of extremism and terrorism. The President also expressed Tunisia's readiness to collaborate with the Foundation in implementing projects and advancing the cultural sector, as stated in the press release.
