Poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain has received an official invitation from the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Peter Thomson, to participate in the high-level forum on the culture of peace and deliver a speech in the main session entitled "Planting the Seeds of the Culture of Peace." The forum will be held at the United Nations Headquarters on the 7th of September.
Thomson stated in the invitation to poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain that this invitation comes as a token of appreciation for the need to support and promote the culture of peace, especially in the current global context. It recognizes the experience, expertise, and work of the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation in this field over the years.
Thomson added that the high-level forum aims to shed light on the factors influencing the realization of the culture of peace and to enable member states and partners to exchange ideas and proposals for building a culture of peace from an early age.
It is worth mentioning that Albabtain had also received an invitation for the same purpose from Terry Rod Larsen, President of the International Peace Institute (IPI), to attend this joint event at the institute and deliver a speech on supporting and enhancing peace culture.
