Today (Thursday), the poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain will deliver two speeches on the culture of peace and its roots in societies. The first speech will take place at 8:15 PM Kuwait time at the International Peace Institute (IPI) in New York. Afterward, he will proceed to the United Nations General Assembly to deliver the second speech at 10:00 PM Kuwait time. During the second speech, Albabtain will present a proposal on the culture of peace worldwide, which will be discussed by the Assembly members.

         The high-level forum on the culture of peace, attended by Albabtain, includes speeches from:

• Mr. Oscar Fernandez-Taranco, Assistant Secretary-General for Peacebuilding Support in the United Nations
