Holds a postgraduate diploma in media studies from the University of Paris.

Worked as an editor at the Lebanese newspaper "Al-Nahar" from 1974 to 1979, then moved to the newspaper "Al-Hayat" upon its reestablishment from London in 1988. He later became its Managing Editor and Deputy Editor-in-Chief.

He has conducted specialized academic research on the analysis of the Arab press landscape, in addition to contributing numerous articles.
