Established and edited-in-chief "Al-Funoon" newspaper, published by the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature, Kuwait, 2001 - 2002.

Editor-in-Chief of "Alam Al-Marifah," "Al-Thaqafah Al-Alamiyah," "Alam Al-Fikr," and "Ibda'at Alamiah," publications of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature, Kuwait, 1998 - 2002.

Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature, Kuwait, 1998 - 2002.

Editor-in-Chief of “Al-Arabi” monthly cultural magazine and founder of “Al-Arabi Al-Sagheer” magazine in its current form, and author of the book "Al-Arabi," 1982 - 1998.

(During the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and post-liberation): Established and edited-in-chief "Sawt Al-Kuwait" newspaper and "New Arabia" magazine until they were ceased publication in November 1992.

Founder and Editor-in-Chief of "Derasat Al-Khaleej wal-Jazeera Al-Arabiyyah" magazine published by Kuwait University, 1974 - 1978, which later transformed into the Center for Arab Gulf Studies.
