Mr. Al-Tayyib Salih
Born in Marawi, Northern Sudan, in 1929.
Member of the 4th Board of Trustees of Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Prize for Poetic Creativity.
Received his education in Wadi Sidna and at the College of Science in Khartoum.
Engaged in teaching and worked at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in London.
Obtained a degree in International Affairs in England and served as the UNESCO representative in the Gulf countries based in Qatar during the period 1984 - 1989.
A book titled "Tayeb Salih: The Genius of Arab Novels" was published about him by a group of researchers in Beirut in 1976, discussing his language and his fictional world in its dimensions and complexities.
