Prof. Dr. Sulaiman Ali Al-Shatti
Born in Kuwait in the year 1943.
A judge, researcher, and critic.
Holds a Ph.D. in Arabic Literature (1978).
Master's degree in Arabic Literature (1974).
Bachelor's degree in Arabic Literature (1970).
Member of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature since its establishment in the year 1973.
Member of the Supreme Advisory Council for Media (1981-1986).
Member of the Editorial Board of “Alam Al-Ma'arifa” Magazine.
Member of the Board of Directors of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts since its establishment in the year 1997.
General Secretary of the Writers' Association in Kuwait (1984-1986).
Editor-in-Chief of Al-Bayan Magazine (1979-1990).
Member of the Board of Trustees of the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Prize for Poetic Creativity.
Chairman of the Writing, Arabization, and Publishing Committee (University of Kuwait) (1994-1998).

He was awarded the Cultural Merit Medal, Class II, from the President of the Republic of Tunisia (1995) and the Grand Honor Medal from the Theatre Festival of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries in Abu Dhabi (2003).
